Im talking about the type that have a small rechargeable. You have to disassemble the screwdriver to remove the old battery. Specifically its a Skil Twist model # 2105. I'd hate to just chunk it because the battery goes. Is this really just a disposable
Some you can, I have an older skil that looks like a mini drill. Radio Shack carries the batteries. You have to solder them back together but you can replace them fairly cheap.

The other day, my wife and I decided it was time to tackle the junk drawers in the kitchen. Over time, we had cultivated four of them.
Each held an odd mix of family history and forgotten artifacts: basketball needles, baseball cards, instruction manuals that were never read for appliances that are now long gone. It was a treasure hunt that mostly yielded an array of mismatched screwdrivers of all sizes and brands – must have been 10 or 12 of them.
“Ridiculous,” my wife said. “Get rid of them.”
This saddened me. For some reason, I have developed a weird attraction to tools – even those that go unused for decades. I follow the teachings of the famous Dominican philosopher and major league pitcher, Joaquin Andujar: “Chu never know.”
At any rate, I bagged up the old screwdrivers, took them to the shed and drove directly to my favorite hardware store where I comforted my loss by gazing upon a wonderful display of cordless screwdrivers with replaceable heads.
